Chinese Boss Breaks Bottle On Employee's Head In Ogun, no be small thing o

Two Chinese nationals, Mike Jackson and Tony Jackson, have been detained by the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Ogun State, for allegedly assaulting one of their employees at Jivan Plastic Company. The assaulted employee, Adeleke Owolabi, a Mass Communications graduate from Olabisi Onabanjo university was on his first day at the job when he was reportedly attacked by Mike over a minor mistake. He was trying to defend himself when the other Chinese national, Tony smashed a bottle on his head. Recounting his ordeal, Owolabi said, “I was bringing out PVC materials out of a bag and Mike said I was not handling the materials properly. He kicked me and slapped me repeatedly so I held unto his shirt to prevent him from beating me further. “However, his cousin, Tony, smashed a bottle on my head and they beat me until I fainted and woke up on the way to Makun Police Division covered in blood.” According to Owolabi, the police declined arresting the Chinese men due t

Mourinho concedes defeat to City before clash

Mourinho Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho feels Manchester City are favourites for Monday’s Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium. While Mourinho saw his side draw 0-0 with West Ham on Wednesday, City moved top of the table thanks to a 5-1 victory over Tottenham at White Hart Lane. Manuel Pellegrini’s free-scoring side are now a point ahead of Arsenal and three clear of third-placed Chelsea. Ahead of Chelsea’s visit to City, Mourinho said: “Are they favourites? Yes. Assistant Technical Director, Nigeria Football Association (NFA), has said that Zimbabwe will not stop Nigeria from winning the bronze medal of the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN). Baby factory uncovered in Ondo, 24 suspects arrested

AKURE — A Baby factory has been uncovered in Ilu-Titun in Okitipupa council area of Ondo State by the state command of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS. At least 24 suspects were arrested in connection with the illegal establishment. Among those nabbed by the anti-trafficking detectives of the command included five pregnant women, five nursing mothers, five babies, two of which are less than a month old  and eight men whose duty it was to impregnate the women. Also, some guards of northern extraction were picked. The arrest of the proprietor of the baby factory, Mrs Happiness Ogundeji, was after several months of intelligence gathering and discreet surveillance by officials of the command. The suspects were paraded before newsmen at the command’s headquarters in Akure, yesterday, by the state’s comptroller of NIS, Mr Musa Al-Hassan. This was disclosed by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, while briefing newsmen in Abuja on the Federal Government’s endorsement of the recommendations of the Presidential Advisory Committee on National Dialogue which submitted its report few weeks ago.
