Ronaldo 8-0 Messi: Star's Red Card Record Soars
It looks likely that the Disciplinary Committee will suspend the Real Madrid forward for violent conduct. If that happens, Carlo Ancelotti can breathe easily as he'll only lose his star for one match, plus, it looks as though Gareth Bale will be fit to play.
If, as expected, the Disciplinary Committee does not give Cristiano Ronaldo more than a three-match ban, then he will take to the pitch for Wednesday's Spanish Cup derby at the Santiago Bernabéu, but will more than likely miss Real's next league game, at home to Villarreal.
"It's hard to say what happened. The footage shows that it was all a bit exaggerated," said Carlo Ancelotti at the final whistle, adding "I'm very pleased with Real Madrid's performance. It was a tough and intense game. It could have gone differently because we scored first, but they scored a wonder goal."
