Jonathan, Muazu meet PDP govs

President Goodluck Jonathan
President Goodluck Jonathan and the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, on Tuesday met behind closed doors with state governors elected on the party’s platform.
The meeting was held inside the President’s office shortly after the Council of State meeting attended by the governors alongside their colleagues from other parties.
Muazu had arrived the Presidential Villa while the council’s meeting was ongoing and waited patiently for it to end.
The party chairman, who came out of the meeting earlier than the governors, refused to speak to State House correspondents.
When asked of his moves to reconcile aggrieved party members,  Muazu simply said, “A negative question deserves no answer” as he forced his way through the battery of cameramen.
As the governors were making their ways out, they insisted that only the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State could speak to journalists on the meeting.
Akpabio did not however speak.
